Area of Expertise

Prof. Dr. Farouk performs a wide range of specialised procedures, including flexible endoscopic stone treatment and laser lithotripsy, endoscopic treatment of kidney, ureter and bladder stones. He uses extracorporeal shock - wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for the treatment of urinary stones. He is an expert at performing endoscopic procedures such as resection of prostate and incision of the urethra. He performs transrectal ultrasound together with abdominopelvic urological ultrasound. Prof. Dr. Farouk provides treatment for a number of conditions, including male and female sexual dysfunction, male impotence and infertility, management of uro-oncology cases, female continence problems. He treats bladder disorders like neurogenic bladder, overactive bladder and painful bladder disorders. He conducts urodynamic studies for various bladder disorders.
