Dr. Rao commenced her career as a Consultant Ophthalmologist first at MGM’s New Bombay Hospital and then at Sadyajyot Eye Clinic & Retina Centre, both in India. She worked as a visiting Ophthalmologist at Netranjali Eye Hospital and Mathadi Trust Hospital, garnering invaluable experience. She then moved to the UAE where she spent almost two decades as a Consultant Ophthalmologist of repute. After a short stint with NMC Speciality Hospital, she worked with Mediclinic Welcare Hospital and Welcare Eye Centre. Subsequently, she spent many years at Mediclinic City Hospital before joining Medcare Eye Centre. Dr. Rao specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of anterior segment diseases of the eye including cataracts, glaucoma and refractive surgery. She has successfully performed vision correction surgeries, treated dry eye, lacrimal diseases (watery eyes), keratoconus, refractive errors in children, pterygium and eye Infections and inflammations.
