Dr Thasneem 's special interest and expertise includes pelvic organ prolapse surgeries like the mesh repair for urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse, vault prolapse, reproductive surgeries, including ectopic pregnancy, fibroids and ovarian cysts, endometriosis and urogynaecology. Her excellent planning and leadership skills are evident in the major conferences that she has organised in addition to being an instructor at Gynaec Endoscopy Training Programme for postgraduates students.
