Dr. Al Rubaye is a member of several prestigious associations around the world including the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), the Emirates Cardiac Association (ECA), the Euro-Echo Association (EEA), the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), the Iraqi Heart Association and the Iraqi Medical Association. During the initial years of his career, Dr. Al Rubaye honed his skills in Cardiology at the Ibn Alnafees Cardiac Centre in Iraq. Relocated to the UAE where he spent decade as a Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology and as Head of Paediatric Cardiology at the Dubai Hospital Cardiac Centre.
