Area of Expertise

Dr. Mokhtar’s gamut of experience covers all kinds of open and closed reductions for adults and pediatrics with internal fixation methods (plates, rigid and elastic nails, wire) as well as external fixation methods except Illizarov and spine surgeries. He performs deformity correction (Varum and Valgum) using plates and osteotomies, soft tissue repair including cut tendons in upper and lower extremities, tendon disease surgeries as de Quervain and trigger fingers, tendon transfer around wrists and ankles, nerve compression release as carpal tunnel release, hip hemiarthroplasty and benign tumour resection in areas that are accessible excluding pelvis and spine. He has a special interest in knee arthroscopy for sports injuries.
